Default Looking For A New Ritualist Build

I am looking for a good ritualist build. Mostly was thinking of a spirit spammer but something else [that's good] works too.

Thanks

Spirit spammers are actually rather bad.

[skill]splinter weapon[/skill][skill]ancestors' rage[/skill][skill]death pact signet[/skill]
is the core of a 'good' Ritualist build. Everything else is just filling.

Spirit spam isn't bad.... [skill]Painful Bond[/skill][skill]Pain[/skill][skill]Bloodsong[/skill][wiki]Vampirism[/wiki][skill]Shadowsong[/skill]
And then you can take [skill]Splinter Weapon[/skill][skill]Ancestors' Rage[/skill] with those too.

There's some value to an offensive spammer using summon spirits, but really it's slow as hell. Splinter weapon and rage really are the massive ownage skills in the rit line, use them.

...i believe the OP is looking for a "new" build.

Unfortunately, [skill]Ancestors' Rage[/skill] & [skill]Splinter Weapon[/skill] are really the best skills the ritualist has. :/

Spirit Spamming is fun....when you just wanna stare at the pretty yellow numbers and drool on ur keyboard...

I wouldn't recommend it if you wanna play the rit class to it's full potential.

Nowadays...Channeling/Restoration Rits are the most powerful. Look for some synergy between skills like [skill]Splinter Weapon[/skill] --> [skill]Wielder's Boon[/skill] on a warrior or Derv.

Try playing around with different second professions.

There's a rit/para healing build somewhere around here that looks like fun.

I've also had an [skill]Attuned Was Songkai[/skill] --> [skill]Heal Party[/skill] thing floating around in my head...but I dunno how to round out the rest of the build.

Just try some things and test them out. You'll find something.

If not, use a popular build and change a few skills around. Then it's "yours".

[skill]Spirit's Strength[/skill][skill]Vital Weapon[/skill]

A surprising number of powerful builds can be made with Spirit's Strength and a weapon spell.

Surprising how fast you can kill things with a Spirit Strength assassin build, or if you don't want to get that close you could use ranger or paragon attacks.

The number of assassins i've made flee (or try to) in AB is rediculous. When they see that you're doing 50% more dmg to them then they're doing to you, it always brings a smirk to my face And wanding someone with 60dmg is quite fun

You can do some heavy damage with spirits and hex combos. They are much easier to run solo heros / hench or with a very understanding group. Recharge times and spirit casting is a long process. When you have 100 % control you can lay and agro and destroy. If you do not have total control and someone agros early and your skills are recharging and spirits not placed or half arsed you are in some trouble

Exactly the bonus damage is armour-ignoring, so they die just as fast as casters. Not to mention Spirit's Strength, Weapon of Aggression, and a dagger combo, will be putting out very high damage.

Default hmm I was Thinking

I was fiddling around and made a little build. I think it proabably sucks but I'm gonna chck anyways. I really wanted to make a spirit spammer but if they suck, i might have to chuck them out the window. Here's the build...tell me how much it sucks.

1.Blood Song
2.Pain or Vampirism or w/e
3.Wanderlust
4.Earthbind
5.signet of Creation
6.summon Spirits
7. Serpent's quickness
8. Not sure was thinking Painful Bond, A channeling Dam. attack or Flesh of my Flesh

Basically Its a Spirit Spammer that knocks down the foe constantly (barely ever on feet.) Serpent's wuikness for Earthbind and Wanderlust to recharge faster. Signet of cration for Minimizing the damage Wanderlust and Earthbind take after knocking down foe. sumon spirits so u dont have to repeatedly recast.

Wanderlust kinda sucks, drop it and Earthbind. THey will run dry of health too fast.
Use [skill]Shadowsong[/skill][skill]Dissonance[/skill].

[skill]Painful Bond[/skill] is a must for any spirit spam build.

Take [skill]Essence Strike[/skill][skill]Weapon of Quickening[/skill] too, lower recharge and e-management.

[wiki]Weapon of Aggression[/wiki] works better with Spirit's Strength than Vital Weapon after the duration nerf. It used to be great, lasted 20 something seconds with 6 Communing, but now you need a major investment into Communing for it so you might as well take a more useful weapon spell.

Here's a weapon spam build that works quite well.
[skill]Wielder's Zeal[/skill][skill]Wielder's Remedy[/skill][skill]Warmonger's Weapon[/skill][skill]Splinter Weapon[/skill][skill]Weapon of Warding[/skill][skill]Ancestors' Rage[/skill][wiki]Great Dwarf Weapon[/wiki][skill]Flesh of my Flesh[/skill].

Communing: 12+1+3
Spawning: 11+2
Wilderness: 6
[skill]Boon of Creation[/skill][skill]Dissonance[/skill][skill]Wanderlust[/skill][skill]Shadowsong[/skill][skill]Pain[/skill][skill]Serpent's Quickness[/skill][skill]Troll Unguent[/skill]
A simple and effective Spammer build.
Slow, yes but effective if you do a stand ground mission it's ownage.
and in long battles it will also work.

An offensive spirit rit USED to be a slow process requiring an understanding group. Then Summon Spirits came along Now you can just bring them with you and just recast whenever a particular duration runs out. Way more effective Splinter/Ancestor's certainly isnt the only way to go.

Here is the build you were looking for:

Cirian's Ritualist / Pargon Healer

[skill]Song of Restoration[/skill][skill]Signet of Synergy[/skill][skill]Mend Body and Soul[/skill][skill]Spirit Light[/skill][skill]Life[/skill][skill]Protective was Kaolai[/skill][skill]Soothing Memories[/skill][skill]Flesh of My Flesh[/skill]

Attributes are 16 Restoration, 12 Motivation, 3 Spawning Power.

Big up's to: Cirian for posting the build and frojack for the amazing screenshot ... here is the original thread

Melee support

If I am out there with my Ritualist in PvE I usually run something very similar too Marverick atm:
[skill]Splinter Weapon[/skill][wiki]Great Dwarf Weapon[/wiki][skill]Ancestors' Rage[/skill][skill]Mend body and soul[/skill][skill]spirit light[/skill][skill]offering of spirit[/skill][skill]life[/skill][skill]death pact signet[/skill]

I sometimes bring an additional [skill]Warmonger's Weapon[/skill] instead of splinter or great dwarf weapon if you rely on a lot of interrupts.

Or if you have enough heals already i run this:

[wiki]Great Dwarf Weapon[/wiki][skill]Ancestors' Rage[/skill][skill]judge's insight[/skill][wiki]castigation signet[/wiki][skill]bloodsong[/skill][skill]offering of spirit[/skill][skill]strength of honor[/skill][skill]flesh of my flesh[/skill]

Smiting prayers
: 12 Channeling: 12+1+2(1) Spawning Power: 3
Works like a charm on a dervish or any other melee class ... assassins love it too ...

Bow Builds

If you wanna see some numbers on your own running around with H/H I advice a bow style build similar to these:

[skill]Barrage[/skill][skill]Splinter Weapon[/skill][wiki]"I Am The Strongest!"[/wiki][skill]Nightmare Weapon[/skill][wiki]triple shoot[/wiki][skill]Ancestors' Rage[/skill][skill]bloodsong[/skill][skill]death pact signet[/skill]
Marksmanship: 12 Channeling: 12+1+2(1) Spawning Power: 3

[wiki]volley[/wiki][skill]splinter weapon[/skill][wiki]"I Am The Strongest!"[/wiki][skill]Bloodsong[/skill][skill]spirit to flesh[/skill][skill]sight beyond sight[/skill][skill]Spirit's Strength[/skill][skill]death pact signet[/skill]
Marksmanship: 9 Channeling: 9+1 Spawning Power: 12+1+2(1)

I use a vampiric longbow for pulling and in battle a zealous bow (short or recurve for the arc)

Have fun and feel free to tweak ... this is of course more a source of inspiration then a collection of "cookie cutting" builds.

Hi, I'm looking at this build and I can see it's potential but it looks like it would run out of energy in a long battle. There's no way you can fit some energy management into this thing?

I have ~60 energy with a decent stave and 4 pips regen.

Most of those skills are 5 energy, only 2 are 10e, and one is a free heal.

Doesnt look too bad, I guess Id have to try it to be sure :P

Shove [skill]leader's zeal[/skill] in there somewhere if you like. It's a pure red bars go up build, so it is marginally improved by spamminess. I'd be inclined to say a defensive rit bar that lacks weapon of warding/shadow/vengeful weapon isn't all that interesting.
